How Do You Handle Aggressive Collection Tactics?

TABLE OF CONTENTS

At Debt Consultants Group (DCG), we understand that dealing with aggressive lenders or collection agencies can be stressful and intimidating. That’s why part of our program includes strategies to manage and respond to these tactics on your behalf—so you’re not navigating them alone.

Here’s how we help protect you and your business:

We Take Over Creditor Communications

Once you enroll in the DCG program, we notify your creditors that you are now represented. From that point forward, we ask that all communications be directed to us—not you. This helps reduce pressure, distractions, and the risk of miscommunication.

If a lender contacts you directly, we’ll coach you on what to say and ask that you forward the message to your Case Manager immediately.

We Monitor for Harassment or Violations

Our team is trained to identify creditor behavior that may cross the line into harassment or violate your rights. If a creditor is engaging in unlawful or aggressive tactics (such as repeated threats, false claims, or inappropriate pressure), we will document the incidents and take action as appropriate.

If a creditor escalates collections through legal action (such as filing a lawsuit or attempting to freeze accounts), DCG works with a network of legal professionals to help protect your business. We may assist with:

  • Preparing a legal response

  • Communicating with court officers or attorneys

  • Working to resolve the issue through settlement or negotiation

You’ll never be left to handle legal threats on your own.

We Prioritize Risk Management

As part of our strategy, we often prioritize the most aggressive or legally threatening creditors for early settlement, especially if there’s risk of judgment, garnishment, or litigation. This allows us to protect your business’s cash flow and reputation while moving your program forward.

You Have a Case Manager & Team Behind You

Throughout your program, your dedicated Case Manager will keep you informed of any creditor activity and coordinate a proper response. If something urgent arises, our internal teams—including Legal Support, Escrow Management, and Negotiations—work together to address it quickly and strategically.

In Summary

DCG doesn’t just negotiate debt—we help shield you from the stress of aggressive collection efforts. With our team handling communications, coordinating legal support, and prioritizing risk, you can focus on your business while we work to resolve your debt safely and effectively.
